Camera in hand I headed over to the brilliant Yorkshire Wildlife Park this week. The Yorkshire Wildlife Park, commonly referred to as YWP, is a wildlife park located in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, in England. The park prides itself on being ‘The UK’s Number 1 Walk-through Wildlife Adventure’ and I have to say it does not disappoint. With a wide range of animals more often found on the continent of South Africa and beyond all the animals look really well looked after and have plenty of space to jump, fly or run around to their hearts desires. The park boasts over 300 different types of animals with everything from Little Squirrel Monkeys right up to Polar Bears – unfortunately the Polar Bears must have had a busy day the day before my visit as they were enjoying a good long sleep on the day. Not to worry as there was plenty more beautiful animals on show and I must say as soon as you start walking around this huge site it becomes harder and harder to believe that you are in England, let alone in Doncaster that is not, lets say well known for being hugely exotic.
Luckily the weather was on my side for the most part of the day and I had a great time. Below are some of the images that I captured from my trip, please note I did get a bit obsessed with the Lemurs, I could have sat and photographed these little guys all day to be honest!
