It was my great pleasure to photograph Emily & Andrew’s wedding which took place at Beverley Racecourse. More known for its prestigious horse racing events the racecourse set a magnificent background to what was a beautiful day, full of happiness and love.
The historic racecourse had its first grandstand commissioned on 22 May 1767 with a lot of the history on display in the beautiful grandstand where the service took place. A beautiful marquee provided by Trent Marquees hosted the reception, erected in the centre of the racecourse itself. The marquee had fabulous adornments, magical lighting and a first dance reveal screen that all in all added a glamorous backdrop to this special occasion.
I had more duties than photographing at this wedding as I also had the honour of being selected as a groomsman for my long suffering friend Andrew. As part of my groomsman duties I took over the photography after my official duties had been fulfilled within the service and picked things up with the camera from the speeches onwards.
Having witnessed alot of wedding speeches this was the first one that actually caused my jaw ache from laughing at a grooms speech, Andrew had all of the guest in fits of laughter during his 45 minute repertoire that was so enjoyable it felt a lot quicker!
